Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo Dances

In order to promote a healthy, safe, enjoyable evening for all contestants, the following procedures will be in place for all dances. All parents, students, and guests must read, and understand this agreement. Also Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo Committee encourages families to discuss these rules together prior to the dances.

(Please read.)

1. Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo contestants and their guests are required to abide by all National High School Rodeo Association rules and regulations. Anyone exhibiting disruptive behavior will be removed from the dance, parents will be notified, and NO refunds will be given.

2. The dances will begin at 9:00 PM and end at 12:00 Midnight.

3. Contestants who dance in an inappropriate lewd and lascivious dancing manner such as “freaking” will be asked to leave the dance and will not receive a refund of the admission fee, nor will they be eligible to attend the next contestant dance. Rules for inappropriate dancing include, but are not limited to:

A. No straddling legs of your partner

B. No touching if dancing back to front

C. No touching of breasts, buttocks or genitals

D. Both feet on the floor

E. Hands on waist or shoulders only

F. No “moshing”

G. No hands on floor

H. No multiple student freak dancing

Appropriate dancing is up to the discretion of the chaperones and will not be debated!

Parents will be notified if students have been asked to leave the dance.

4. For safety reasons dancers need to avoid excessive crowding together in the center of the dance floor.

5. Please do not leave valuables unattended.

6. Contestants are to remember that the Rules, By-Laws & Constitution of the National High School Rodeo Association applies to all participants at any Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo function, including dances. Failure to comply with the rules may result in the potential loss of contestant activities and events including disqualification from competing in the Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo.

7. Students suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be subject to evaluation and/or a field sobriety test, which can include a breathalyzer test administered by local law enforcement officers.

8. Dress requirements may be found listed in your Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo Packet. The dress requirements will be enforced when you enter. When in doubt, ask your State Director.
